Village Living

Village Living is the social and spiritual heart of our Resident-Centered philosophy. Our residents bring a lifetime of experience and talent with them when they become part of The Village at Redlands. They are teachers, leaders, writers and much more.

A Community of Contributors
Residents are encouraged to find a place in the community where their skills and talents can shine. Our residents make The Village at Redlands better by teaching classes, participating in committee work, or serving on the board of directors.

A Community of Friends
New residents are paired with a First Friend when they move into a cottage or apartment. First Friends are specifically selected and trained by staff and veteran residents.
New residents automatically have someone to answer their questions, invite them to social events, and make them feel welcome.

A Community of Fun
The Village at Redlands is always busy with activity. Our Activities Coordinator keeps the calendar full. Residents enjoy crafts, movie nights, games, billiards, field trips and more.

A Community of Faith
While The Village at Redlands is not a Christian non-profit organization, it was founded by local churches, and the majority of our residents share similar faith-based values and perspectives.

Because our community is built on the values of its residents, Bible studies, chapels, hymn sings, and Sunday worship services are all part of daily living at The Village.
